Course Description

This course focuses on the roles and responsibilities of a health care aide working in a variety of employment settings. Learners will acquire the skills to provide person-centred care that is safe, respectful, and based on the needs of the client. Learners will become familiar with the provincial legislation that guides safe, ethical, and personalized care. They will learn to work as part of the health-care team and how to follow employers' policies and procedures within the scope of the health care aide job description.
