Course Description

Survey Theory I is the first of two courses in plane surveying and its applications. This course will introduce the student to errors in field measurements; levelling; methods for measuring distances including EDM, angles, bearings, and azimuths; measuring horizontal and zenith angles with total stations; trigonometric levelling; traversing; coordinates; areas; and simple adjustment of horizontal and vertical loops.
