Eight Dimensions of Wellness

Wellness is an active process, a life journey that involves intentions, choices and actions that lead toward creating a healthy life style.

At Northern Lakes College we examine wellness from eight interconnected dimensions: physical, intellectual, financial, spiritual, environmental, occupational, social, and emotional.

While all dimensions of wellness require attention, there doesn't have to be a perfect balance among them. Instead, the goal is to strive for a personal harmony and improve the quality of life.



SOCIAL

Developing and maintaining positive relationships, caring for others, feeling a sense of connection, being respectful of the diversity of people, and developing a support network.
