Mental Health Week 2025

Mental Health Week 2025 Theme: Unmasking Mental Health

We don't always want to share everything about ourselves with every person we interact with. When someone is in constant mental struggle and they need to hide it as part of their everyday life, they can feel isolated, and this can prevent them from getting the help they need.

At Northern Lakes College we want to build a safe and positive community to open the door to honest conversations to create deeper connections that allow students and employees to get access to the help they need.

Let’s be real—life can feel a lot sometimes. Between work, relationships, and the curveballs life throws our way, stress and anxiety can sneak in before we even notice. That’s where grounding techniques come in. These simple practices help pull your focus away from the swirl of "what-ifs" and back into the present moment. They're great for calming that fight-or-flight feeling and giving your nervous system a much-needed reset.
